Teaching
The chair in Political Systems and European Integration offers a wide spectrum of courses for Bachelor and Master Studies at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute. A particular focus is on questions of European Integration and Europeanization. In lectures, courses and seminars the operating modes of the European Union’s political system as well as the influences of European Integration on the EU member states and potential candidates are discussed.
Additionally the chair offers basic and advanced courses in the field of comparative politics for Bachelor as well as Master Studies. They cover issues from political institutions (polity) and political processes (politics) to selected policy areas (policy) in different political systems.
The Chair also provides courses on research methods and seminars to on the writing of the final theses (Bachelor, Master, Magister and PhD).
Finally there are seminars to supervise student internships that are set in the syllabus.
