Munich Center on Governance, Communication, Public Policy and Law (MCG)
The Munich Center on Governance, Communication, Public Policy and Law (MCG) is an interdisciplinary research institution based at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The MCG is part of LMUinnovativ. The Geschwister-Scholl-Institut is represented at this interdisciplinary research center by four professors. The LMUs departments for law, economics and communication are also represented.
The MCG conducts its interdisciplinary research on changing focal points, under which members of the MCG come together for specific research activities. The background to the MCG's research is formed by the two basic assumptions of governance research in modern contemporary societies: the growing complexity of governance and the increasing interpenetration of law, politics, business and the media.
