Since February 2022 Prof. Dr. Laura Seelkopf is the professor of International Comparative Public Policy at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute for Political Science at the LMU Munich. Prior to taking this position, she held posts in St. Gallen, Florence, and Bremen. She studied at the universities of Konstanz and Pavia and holds a PhD from the University of Essex.
Laura Seelkopf serves as a political consultant for the German federal government as an elected member of the German Data Forum (RatSWD, 2020-2023). Furthermore, she served as executive board member of the German Political Science Association (DVPW, 2018-2021) and its Political Economy Section (2015-2021) as well as associated editor of the Journal of International Relations and Development (2018-2020). In addition, she is an associated member of the Research Center on Inequality and Social Policy (SOCIUM) at the University of Bremen (since 2018). Her research focuses on international and comparative taxation and social policies.
