Workshop offer of the Writing Center of LMU for students and lecturers

22.10.2024

The Writing Center at the Faculty of Language and Literature at LMU is offering various workshops for students and lecturers this semester. Below is a selection of the available offers:

- The Friday Workshops cover a wide range of topics related to academic work. These workshops directly address academic papers (e.g., citing and referencing, introduction and conclusion), seminar-related tasks (e.g., giving presentations, note-taking in lectures), as well as special topics such as time management or studying with neurodivergence. Registration is done via LSF; the full range of offerings can be found here.

- You can discuss your individual questions or challenges in a one-on-one consultation with a member of our team. The consultation takes place on equal terms with peer tutors and is confidential. Experience shows: It’s better to seek advice sooner rather than later – in all likelihood, you are not the only one with your question. Simply register through this contact form.

- Writing and AI: This semester, there will be five webinars in the Coffee Lecture series offered by the University Library (UB). Additionally, you can download our guide on writing with AI for free here. A comprehensive Moodle course is expected to be available starting in early November.

- In cooperation with the University Library, we offer mini-workshops in the subject libraries. You can also register via LSF, and an overview can be found here.

- If you prefer to learn and practice on your own, you can make use of our eLearning offers or the methods reader for students.

- The workshop program for lecturers can be found here.
