Vita
Dr. Johannes Freudenreich is a political scientist and managing director of the Potsdam Graduate School at the University of Potsdam. Previously, he was responsible for promoting young scientists at the Helmholtz Association and, as deputy head of department at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, oversaw funding programs with a focus on South and Central America. From 2014 to 2015, he was a research associate at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Johannes Freudenreich earned his doctorate at the University of Potsdam with a thesis on coalition dynamics in Latin American presidential systems and completed a research stay at the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro as part of his doctoral studies. His work focuses on higher education development, science governance, and issues of leadership and career development in science and administration.
