Responsibilities
My research interests concern European integration history and theory, EU crisis politics, and Franco-German relations. Working at the intersection of international relations and comparative politics, I mainly apply qualitative methods including archival research and expert interviews. In my doctoral dissertation, I analyzed eight major crises over the entire European integration process, seeking to explain the variation in crisis outcomes.
Before joining LMU Munich, I was a doctoral student at the European University Institute in Florence. I have done my undergraduate and graduate studies in political science at Trier University, Sciences Po Lyon, and Lancaster University. In addition, I obtained a postgraduate degree in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.
