Course Registration

Below you will find the dates and deadlines for course registration for all degree programs offered at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute in the Winter Semester 2025/26.

Please note that course registration is mandatory for all students and is a prerequisite for exam registration. Course registration takes place via LSF.

Bachelor Political Science and Teacher Training Program (Politics and Society, UF + DF)

• Main registration period: September 22 – October 6, 2025 (starting at 12:00 noon)
• Allocation of places: October 7, 2025 (from approx. 2:00 p.m.)
• Allocation of remaining places: October 8–9, 2025 (starting at 12:00 noon)
• Withdrawal period: October 8–19, 2025

Master Political Science

• Main registration period: October 6–8, 2025 (starting at 12:00 noon)
• Allocation of places: October 9, 2025 (from approx. 2:00 p.m.)
• Allocation of remaining places + withdrawal: October 10–19, 2025 (starting at 12:00 noon)

The following courses are registered via the course catalog ("Vorlesungsverzeichnis"):

• All lectures
• Methods II exercise for Political Science major
• Internship supervision for BA Political Science major
• Tutorial, exam preparation, and internship supervision for Teacher Training students
• Modules P2–4 in the MA Political Science program

❗ All other courses are registered via the module tree and require prioritization.

❗ Tutorials for Module P7 in the Political Science major and the PT, IB, PS tutorials for the Political Science minor are registered via the course catalog during the first week of the semester.

❗ No separate LSF registration is required for the accompanying seminar for the final thesis in the BA and MA programs.
